Once upon a time in...
Well, if you read the blog title description above, it should be very clear what this post is all about. I'll repeat just in case you missed it: If you live in a place far far far away or maybe just far away from Hollywood, what would you give or become to arrive there. I just want to clarify few things before continuing further. When I say far far away I don't mean necessarily about physical space, that distance can also and if not always be financial. Obstacles come in many forms, pressing us down to the ground like a bolder on our backs. Life can sometimes appear obsolete. The truth is, sometimes you could think of a million reasons why not to go on, but... How hard can it be, to pick yourself up and do exactly what you want, impossible? Even the longest road starts with one step, someone said. Corney as it may sound there is no greater truth in the world.
Another thing, Hollywood; don't be fulled by the simplicity and the way this word rings in your mind. Just another sucker for Hollywood, you would think, but no, not even a chance. The question stands: "What is your Hollywood"? Can you remember what is that thing that you wanted to do since the ages? Have you heard, Frodo brought back his ring to the place where it belongs, but what would you do to achieve something that powerful for yourself. Maybe this road is your own, who knows. OK, then lets pretend that I'm also talking about the real one, the real Hollywood.
You might expect that intended topic requires quite elaborating and extensive suggestion, but it doesn't. It's just a matter of unique approach to the problem. The question stands: What would you do to depart to and succeed in achieving your dreams in Hollywood or where they are searched? Since this question is a topic of this blog, I will try to break it down to separate posts, practical wise.
How much must you pay to travel there, more important, how much you pay or your loved ones for the price of your desire? There are tons of questions that preoccupy our mind when such a quest is laid before us. What would you pack, what would you leave behind, or who? Now do you see the weight of the problem that I'm talking about. How can this be hard, or easy? On the other hand, maybe I have something valuable to share with you. It's on you to estimate whether this is true. Until then, I hope we'll find down the road does this truly lies deep within us. Please, be honest, regardless practical or poetic, just invoke what you think that is needed. If you're looking for amusement, skip this post as something very serious and interesting.
